The
World's first rear view helmet, has just won its first
national title. 15yr old Ben Savage has won the British
Trials Championship ... and he was wearing the revolutionary
Reevu helmet.
Ben, rated as one of the leading cycling prospects
in Europe said...
"The Reevu helmet has been a massive boost
to me, especially during training. There's not much
call for the rear view optics when climbing over rocks,
but when I've been training out on the road, it has
been invaluable.
It gives me a real sense of security."
Reevu have pioneered the unique rear view design. A
bullet-proof optical system is built into the peak and
crest of the helmet, allowing the rider to glance upwards
and be fully aware of what is going on behind. The addition
of the optical system actually increases the strength
of the helmet too.
Ben
added...
"The beauty of the Reevu helmet is that
it does more than any other helmet can hope to achieve.
It not only lets you see behind, but of course it also
protects your head in the event of an accident."
Reevu have spent 7 years in the development of their
helmet. It has undergone rigorous testing and meets
European safety guidelines. Further developments are
also in the pipeline with new varieties of the Reevu
cycle helmet and, next year, a rear view motorbike helmet.
Billy Morgan, one of the developers behind the Reevu
idea said...
"These are exciting times. Our first cycle helmet
has been extremely well received and this British
title for Ben Savage has proved that it can be of
immense help to sportsmen as well as casual or commuter
cyclists. We have every intention of gradually expanding
our range and part of that expansion will be to include
specialist helmets for cyclists who need to gain an
advantage during races. We'll be using the experience
gained by Ben to help us."
